Cinemas and screening rooms

Now that virtually everything is computerized a screen has become commonplace in corporate meetings, presentations, product launches and business conferences. Whether it is for a slide show of images, a bulleted presentation, short film, animated demonstration or live screening of a sporting or theatrical event, we find ourselves at a loss without a screen to help keep our audiences present and engaged. Thankfully a diverse range of venues across London have taken the initiative to install these kinds of facilities into just about any event space; from small, intimate meeting rooms to large scale cinemas.

Updated on 10 March 2020

Gone are the days when speeches and presentations were a culmination of placards, flipcharts and handouts; we now want everything in as high definition as possible with minimal fuss and setup. Cinema rooms are particularly advantageous for showing films and longer presentations, and thanks to the large screen and raked seating there shouldn’t be any difficulties with visibility.

Alternatively for smaller setups and meetings, an overhead projector can be all that’s required for a PowerPoint presentation with plug-and-play connectivity. Other things to consider when selecting a screening venue is the room’s acoustics and lighting; often venues will provide blackout blinds and state of the art sounds systems to enhance the overall viewing experience. However, for other venues technology comes second to the other amenities offered to keep your guest’s fed, watered and comfortable. Take some time to consider which factors are most important for your event or meeting and choose your venue accordingly.

To help you out we have rounded-up some of the very best venues and hotels across London with screening rooms or cinemas for you to take full advantage of. From modern venues to more historic, traditional options have a browse and decide which makes most sense for your event, based on location, capacity and facilities - but be sure to book well in advance to avoid disappointment!
