SquareMeal is operated by Monomax Limited, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 2554719), with its registered office at Quadrant House, Fifth Floor, 250 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5RD ("SquareMeal", "we", "us", "our").

These Website Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SquareMeal websites, mobile applications, social media channels, events, and related services (together, the "Sites").

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Sites, creating an account, making a booking, or participating in the SquareMeal Rewards Scheme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you should not use the Sites or services.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use the Sites or participate in the Rewards Scheme. The Sites are not intended for use by anyone under 18.

Use of the Sites

You may use the Sites for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You must not:

  • Use automated systems or software to access the Sites
  • Copy, scrape, or reuse content without permission
  • Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Sites or systems

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the Sites or other users.

Accounts & Security

If you create a SquareMeal account, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login details confidential
  • All activity carried out using your account

Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Content & Information

The Sites provide information for general reference only.

While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date:

  • Content may change at short notice
  • Restaurants, bars, pubs and other venues, menus, prices, and offers are controlled by third parties

We do not guarantee that content is complete, accurate, or error-free.

Third-Party Links

The Sites may include links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience only.

We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party content
  • Availability of external websites
  • Any loss arising from your use of third-party services

Restaurant Bookings

Booking Process

All online restaurant bookings made via SquareMeal are fulfilled by third-party booking providers or restaurants.

A booking is only confirmed once you receive confirmation (usually by email).

Responsibility

Your contract for dining is with the restaurant, not SquareMeal. We are not responsible for:

  • Food quality or service
  • Pricing or billing
  • Changes or cancellations by restaurants

Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellation policies are set by restaurants and may include:

  • Cancellation deadlines
  • No-show fees
  • Group surcharges

Repeated no-shows may result in restrictions or suspension of your SquareMeal account.

Communications

By using the Sites, you agree that we may contact you electronically (email, SMS, push notifications), in line with our Privacy Policy. You can manage marketing preferences at any time.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Sites is owned or licensed by SquareMeal.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit content without written permission, except as permitted by law.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Sites
  • Use the Sites fraudulently or unlawfully

We may take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of access.

User Content and Reviews

When you post content on our website (such as reviews or comments), you confirm that it is honest, accurate, and your own, or that you have permission to post it.

You keep ownership of your content. However, apart from any personal data, you give us permission to use, copy, share, and display your content worldwide and without charge to operate, improve, and promote our website and services.

We may remove or moderate content that we reasonably believe is unlawful, misleading, offensive, or breaches these Terms. We are not required to monitor all content.

Any personal data you provide will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • Our liability for services provided by SquareMeal is limited to the amount you paid us directly (if any)

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against losses arising from your misuse of the Sites or breach of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will aim to give reasonable notice.

Continued use of the Sites after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.


SquareMeal Rewards Scheme – Terms & Conditions

About the Rewards Scheme

The SquareMeal Rewards Scheme ("Scheme") is operated by Monomax Limited.

These Rules apply in addition to the Terms above.

Eligibility

To participate, you must:

  • Be 18 or over
  • Hold a SquareMeal account
  • Be resident in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or Republic of Ireland

Participation is personal and non-transferable.

Rewards Account & Points

Each participant has a Rewards account to track points ("Points").

Points:

  • Have no cash value
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Cannot be sold or transferred

Earning Points

Points may be earned by:

  • Honouring eligible restaurant bookings made through SquareMeal
  • Completing promotional actions specified on the Sites
  • Making qualifying purchases via the card-linking programme

Points are credited only after confirmation from relevant third parties.

Pending & Available Points

Points may appear as "Pending" until bookings, purchases, card-linking transactions and other actions are verified. Points cannot be redeemed until marked "Available".

Redeeming Points & Vouchers

Available Points may be redeemed for rewards via SquareMeal vouchers ("Vouchers").

Rewards are subject to availability

Vouchers cannot be exchanged back for Points

Vouchers may be gifted to others

Your contract for a reward is with the supplier providing it and you will be subject to their Terms and Conditions.

Expiry

Points expire 12 months after being credited

Vouchers expire on the date shown

Expired Points or Vouchers cannot be reinstated

Scheme Changes

We may change how the Scheme operates. Where changes are material, we will aim to give reasonable notice.

Changes will not normally affect Points already credited before the change.

Account Closure

You may close your Rewards account at any time. Unused Points and Vouchers will be lost.

We may suspend or close accounts where there is fraud, misuse, breach of rules, or inactivity of 12 months or more.

Scheme Closure

If the Scheme is closed, we will aim to give reasonable notice. All unused Points and Vouchers must be redeemed before the closure date and will expire on closure.

Card-Linking Offers Programme

If you register a payment card(s), you may earn Points when making qualifying purchases with participating partners.

SquareMeal, with your consent, receives the transaction data from third parties, namely Fidel, Visa, American Express or Mastercard. SquareMeal does not receive your full card information, instead it receives a token that is associated with your account (see our Privacy policy). We receive the transaction information from Fidel when you make a purchase on a registered card at one of our participating partners. This will include transaction amount, location, date and time. See our Privacy policy for more details on how we handle this data.

Points are awarded only where transaction data is successfully verified by our card-linking partners. In rare cases, we may not receive the transaction information we need from our partner businesses to confirm a qualifying purchase. When this happens, we’re unfortunately unable to award SquareMeal Points for that transaction.

If Points are added to your account by mistake, we may need to correct or remove them.

We’ll always aim to be fair and transparent, and we appreciate your understanding when things outside our control affect Points being awarded.

Liability (Rewards)

We are not responsible for:

  • Availability or quality of rewards
  • Actions of third-party suppliers

Our liability is limited to correcting Points wrongly credited or deducted, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Transfer of the Scheme

If the Scheme is transferred or sold, we may transfer participant data and obligations in accordance with applicable law.

Governing Law (Rewards)

These SquareMeal Rewards Scheme terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.


SquareMeal Digital Gift Voucher

General

SquareMeal digital vouchers / gift vouchers ("Vouchers") are issued by Monomax Limited and supplied electronically (e.g. by email or digital download). By purchasing or using a Voucher, you agree to these terms and conditions.

These Rules apply in addition to the Website Terms and the Rewards Scheme Terms above.

Delivery

Vouchers will be delivered to the email address provided at the time of purchase.

Monomax Limited is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete email details. Please check spam or junk folders before contacting us.

Validity

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. The expiry date will be clearly shown on the Voucher or in the accompanying email. Expired Vouchers cannot be redeemed.

Where Vouchers Can Be Used

Vouchers may be redeemed:

  • a) in Voucher participating restaurants. A list of these can be found at https://www.squaremeal.co.uk/restaurants/best/squaremeal-smart-voucher-restaurants_445. In addition you can filter by ‘Smart Voucher restaurants’ and look for the ‘Accepts Vouchers’ icon on individual restaurant listings – only these restaurants accept vouchers.
  • b) in the SquareMeal Reward Shop (https://rewardshop.squaremeal.co.uk)
  • c) in exchange for restaurant gift vouchers from selected third-party casual dining brands, as advertised at the time of exchange. See the ‘Exchange your voucher’ page in your SquareMeal Account.

All redemptions are subject to availability.

Full Redemption Only

Vouchers must be redeemed in full in a single transaction.

No change, credit, or remaining balance will be given if the value of the Voucher exceeds the value of the goods or services purchased.

Redemption at Voucher at participating restaurants

In order to redeem your Voucher at a participating restaurants follow the instructions on your Voucher page in your SquareMeal profile.

You can only redeem Vouchers at selected participating restaurants. These participating restaurants are highlighted on the Sites with the icon ‘Accepts Vouchers’.

Exchange for Third-Party Restaurant Vouchers

When a Voucher is exchanged for a third-party restaurant voucher:

  • the exchange is final and cannot be reversed
  • the Voucher must be redeemed in full at the point of exchange
  • the Voucher becomes subject to the third-party provider’s terms and conditions
  • Monomax Limited is not responsible for the goods, services, availability, or experience provided by the third party
  • expiry dates, exclusions, and usage rules of third-party vouchers may differ

Security

Each Voucher contains a unique code and should be treated like cash. Monomax Limited is not responsible for Vouchers used without the purchaser’s or recipient’s permission.

Non-Refundable

Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.

Transferability

Vouchers are transferable and may be used by anyone in possession of the Voucher code.

Lost, Deleted, or Misused Vouchers

Monomax Ltd cannot be held responsible for Vouchers that are lost, deleted, stolen, or misused. Replacement may be offered at our discretion where proof of purchase is provided and the Voucher has not already been redeemed.

Promotions & Exclusions

Vouchers may not be used in conjunction with other discounts, promotions, or special offers unless otherwise stated.

Business Closure or Changes

In the event that Monomax Limited ceases trading, Vouchers may no longer be redeemable.

Third-party restaurant voucher options may change from time to time and are subject to availability.

Changes to Terms

Monomax Limited reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will not affect Vouchers already purchased.

Governing Law

These SquareMeal Gift Voucher terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
