This hotel pub (formerly George) fancies itself as a traditional East End boozer, with some international twists. The interiors are kitted out in bold reds and blues, as well as some nods to times gone by via cast-iron windows and coats of armour lining the walls. From the kitchen, you can expect homely dishes including fish & chips and beef feather blade, combined with more globally-influenced plates such as king prawn and coconut curry, and harissa-glazed aubergines with freekeh and lentils. Lady Abercorn serves beers from local brews and brews its own too, the Lady A, which is a light IPA with notes of grapefruit. Live entertainment is also a fixture, with everything from musicians to magicians taking to the stage.
