London's Top 100 Restaurants

Congratulations to Brat, our London Restaurant of the Year 2019. Head chef Tomos Parry opened his first solo project in Shoreditch in 2018 having wowed fashionable London at Kitty Fisher’s in Mayfair. Not only should the signature dish of whole turbot be on any London foodie’s bucket list but the open kitchen and communal style of seating and eating are a potent reminder that food nourishes the soul as much as the stomach when shared among friends. On being presented with his award, Parry said: “I really admire the past winners of SquareMeal’s Restaurant of the Year and I’m grateful to join them – it’s a special thing for all of us at Brat. To win an award that reflects both critic and diner opinion is really exciting – it shows that our guests appreciate what we’re doing.”

Updated on 12 December 2019
