Menus at Mere are seasonal, with dishes carefully crafted to celebrate the passion and heritage of Monica and her husband David Galetti. Those dining at the Chef’s Table will be treated to a bespoke six-course menu that promises to blend classical French with South Pacific influences. Diners can expect such delights as pumpkin with custard, truffle sable, chestnut puree and crispy Parma ham; scallop with aubergine, coconut, mild curry and kaffir lime, and crispy chicken skin; and 35-day aged roast striploin, with burnt butter mash, girolles, ox tongue and mustard sauce.
A cheese course and dessert – perhaps a blackberry parfait with white chocolate Aero, praline feuillantine and pickled apple – will comprise two of the six courses, while the talented sommelier team will be on hand to offer wine pairings to suit any occasion.
