When it’s not flooded with rugby fans, the England national stadium operates as a venue for all manner of corporate and private events, from conferences and exhibitions to gala dinners and blow-out all-staff parties. There are plenty of reasons why the stadium is one of the most popular venues for events in London – not least the jaw-dropping scale of the place – from the facilities, catering and staff to unique perks such as access to the England changing rooms, all of which are top-notch.
Most of the many spaces available are enormous, but there a few more intimate rooms dotted around for smaller gatherings. The largest indoor space is the 1,200-capacity Rose Suite, which features a bar and a retractable partition wall making it suited to anything from a large dinner to an exhibition. The next largest, and just as impressive, is the Live Room auditorium that has advanced AV equipment and retractable tiered seating operated at the touch of a button.
Other large and striking indoor spaces include the East Stand, which re-opened in late 2018 after extensive development that led to eight brand new event spaces over six levels, including a roof terrace, pub and a members’ club style restaurant that can cater to over 1,000, and the South Stand conference centre, which received a £300k AV upgrade in 2016 and a general refurb to bring it up to date with the rest of the venue.
If it’s wow-factor views of the pitch you’re after, you won’t get better than a pitch-side barbecue or a team-building event on The Patch, but if you’re looking for something a little more intimate and exclusive, you could opt for the most unusual space in the sporting venue, the Twickenham Cellar. This subterranean hideaway has space for up to 14 guests of a mind to feast on seven courses and fine wines.
We could rave for pages and pages about all the different spaces, configurations, facilities, added extras, conveniences and food and drinks packages on offer at this colossal space, but when the events team are as helpful as those at Twickenham, there’s no need. Give them a call or submit an enquiry online and make your next event one to remember.
