Said to have once provided a hiding place for Dick Turpin, and having changed name a number of times over the past century, Brouge is a pub steeped in history and charm. It is this charm combined with Brouge’s wonderfully traditional pub-like façade and cosy ambience, which makes it a fantastic venue to hire out for an event. The size of Brouge also means that there are a variety of different spaces available to use in the pub, so if you are wanting to host an event that isn’t confined to one space, it’s a fantastic option. Just moments from Fulwell station, Brouge also is incredibly accessible from Central London, meaning that it won’t be at all difficult for guests to reach the venue.
In terms of spaces, the conservatory overlooks the pub’s beer garden and can be exclusively hired for a number of different types of event, whether that be a meeting, a private dinner or a party. Seating up to 40 people, it has a nice sense of privacy to it. If you’re looking to host a slightly bigger event, the conservatory can be hired alongside the main restaurant area, which increases the overall capacity to up to 75 people seated or 130 for a standing reception. The combination of these two spaces creates an incredibly flexible space which can used in a variety of different ways depending on the nature of your event, and also benefits from a bar.
For smaller events there are two further separate areas. The Snug bar is the ultimate space if you’re wanting to host a party as it benefits from disco lights and a music system which you can plug your own device into. Alternatively the Alcove is another option for smaller dinners with space for up to 52 people seated. Brouge also conveniently boasts a team of chefs who can easily provide food for your event, whether that’s a buffet or a sit-down meal, meaning that there’s no need to worry about outside caterers.
