Somerset’s Babington House is a stylish rural retreat in Georgian manor house, set in 18 acres of british countryside and boastings its own chapel. Exclusive hire of the venue is possible allowing guests free run of the 33 bedrooms, Cowshed aps indoor-outdoor pool, tennis courts, walled garden and cricket pitch. The house can accommodate weddings for up to 120 people with 90 people seated in the Orangery and a further 30 in the Log Room. The wonderful events team will be on hand from the outset to help you arrange everything from the flower arrangements to the wedding cake, DJ, late night snacks and full English breakfast the following morning. The ceremony itself can be held in nearby St Margarets Church or civil ceremonies and non-religious weddings can be held in the Orangery or Library.
Back in town is Soho House , which is spread over three floors. Whole house take-overs for up to 600 guests are available on Sundays. Smaller dinners are held in the 42-capacity dining room and receptions for 120 in the House Basement. There's also the newly refurbished Electric Cinema , which can hold 102 guests for a standing reception and a film screening. Moving east to Shoreditch House, where a Secret Garden on the rooftop is available for alfresco receptions, which, when combined with its adjacent Bar, Kitchen and Lounge, accommodates up to 120 for informal celebrations. There's also The Apartment, located above the Hoxton hotel, which is an event space with the look and feel of a trendy flat. Among the international clubs those most suited to events are Soho Beach House in Miami as well as Soho House Berlin. Food is a strong suit in all the houses and set or bespoke menus are available from the kitchens.
