On the south bank of the Thames, to the east of Tower Bridge, Cantina del Ponte occupies part of Butlers Wharf, the old home of one of the world's biggest tea warehouses. Nowadays, the D&D London team delivers rustic Italian fare to a main space with trattoria stylings – low ceilings, terracotta floors, white wall tiles and a mural of a marketplace running the length of one wall. Mediterranean breads are baked daily and the pasta's made on site too. Groups of 11 and up can enjoy specially created menus in the restaurant proper, which is available for exclusive hire. Looking out across the river, the outdoor terrace is offered for drinks and canapé receptions.
