First opened in 1924, this Grade II-listed central London venue has a long, colourful history of hosting the rich, powerful and fashionable. With dramatic original architecture such as sweeping staircases and a huge chandelier, a wedding here would be quite the spectacle. There’s a striking main ballroom, along with three private bars that can be used however you wish, and the venue also holds a wedding licence, so both the ceremony and reception can take place here. To make even more of an impact, there’s also a state-of-the-art sound and light system, along with operating engineers to control it all. Food is easily taken care of, too, as there’s an in-house team that can cater for sit-down meals.
