Disgusting Service - made to pay for event we could not attend, due to a family member being hospitalised.
Both my girlfriend and I were unable to attend a group bottomless brunch event on Saturday, as her dad was rushed to hospital on Friday. We phoned on Friday to advise that we could not attend because of this unforeseen circumstance and were told by a member of staff that we would not have to pay for this.
The group on the day were then made to pay for us, even though we did not attend and advised that we could not. After much discussion, the restaurant agreed to refund one of us and not the other. I complained immediately after on Saturday and was told I would have to phone on Monday for a refund.
Come Monday, I was told to wait for a response as they were investigating it. After numerous calls I had to make to try and get an answer, I have been told 4 days later they will not issue a refund.
No common decency, especially after being told I would be refunded.
