A very poor experience. I went to Hix for fish and they hardly had any. Offered mackerel or bream to share. Hopeless. The fish shop on the front has a dozen varieties, so why the pitiful menu offering? The oysters and the wine were fine, but you don't need a chef for these. The bread for the mackeral paté was chunky and crumbly, carelessly served, and the portion of paté was miniscule. We were on the balcony, temperature OK, but got forgotten and the main course took ages to arrive. This was steak, which we were forced to have because of the lack of choice. The steak was deducted from the menu, alright, but the meal was spoiled. There seemed to be no effective management. Overpriced and much better value at other Lyme reataurants. All the brand Hix is really selling are the views.
