This was a deeply disappointing experience. We booked an early evening table and were almost 10 minutes late due to a delayed train. When we arrived, the restaurant was trying to give away our table. If only we had let them and gone somewhere else, somewhere where the food was edible and the service was better. The food was not as good as in many motorway service stations, with claggy pasta and soggy salad all around. The service was really poor (eg stretching across us while we were still eating to clear the plates away). There was only one toilet for some 100 diners (inexplicably, the restaurant was very busy – probably because it was so close to the London Eye) and there was a permanent queue leading to the toilet door which was immediately on the restaurant floor. We took turns to cross the road and use the facilities at the Premier Inn because it was easier than the restaurant queue. Tired food, tired décor, poor facilities, poor service, high price. Only the company rescued the evening.
