This low-key Italian eatery is found just a few metres away from bustling Spitalifields Market. Canto Corvino is a restaurant full of well-heeled City types, but it’s also an inviting spot for more casual diners who seek a reasonably priced cocktail in a chic Shoreditch setting. The compact menu incorporates classic Italian dishes such as bread, olive oil, mozzarella and arancini but also includes some luxury takes, such as the lobster paccheri and truffled pig’s head linguine.

Notable main courses include generously portioned steaks, available with truffle jus or bone marrow, while the lighter choice of wild sea bass served on a bed of charred broccoli is a palatable and well balanced dish. To finish in style with something sweet, opt for the salted chocolate bomba, which is served in a glass tumbler covered with a layer of thin chocolate.

Don’t miss the sleek and centrally positioned bar upon entering either, which boasts an extensive cocktail list, with a whole section dedicated to brunch drinks alone. There’s also a nightly extended happy hour, which you can enjoy from 5-10pm.

Amazing Italian food, although a more modern take on italian rather than traditional. Delicious food, although a little pricey - still worth it.

Great modern Italian food with a twist - love that there is only a few things to choose from and you can see them cooking it! Always fresh and delicious with great service.

Amazing Italian Feast
Having visited twice before for brunch we were very keen to return and try the Al a Carte Menu so last night that's exactly what we did. The evening got of to a great start as we were there before 7pm so got to have two delightful cocktails for the price of one . We then moved in to the restaurant with a nice greeting from the very friendly staff. Looking at the menu our choice wasn't going to be easy as there were many delicious dishes to choose from and to make it harder you get told about the special.?Starters? We decided on the Truffle Burrata , Isle of Wight Asparagus , Quinoa & Summer Truffles and the Scarlet Tiger Prawns Arancini with Tomato , Habanero Chilli & Lime. Both dishes were amazing and a nice Italian white wine to match which was perfectly chosen by the sommelier Following on from our starters we then decided to have a pasta course and this dish was heaven on a plate in fact stunning it was the evenings special a Crab & Tomato Linguine Now it was time for the main courses and in keeping with the fantastic dishes that we'd already enjoyed we were eagerly awaiting what was to come and we needn't have worried as they were both amazing. From the Clay Oven we chose the Wild Halibut , Roman Artichokes , spinach & anchovy aioli and from the Josper the Miso Iberico Pork Neck Nduja with fermented kohl rabi & padron accompanied by excellent side dishes of Burnt Greens with Chilli & Garlic plus some Rosemary Al Forno Potatoes. These dishes were once again matched beautifully with a glass of Italian Red & White wines Cheese & Desserts? As we were in the mood to try as much as possible it was only right to have a cheese course so we shared a nice selection of 5 Italian cheeses before enjoying some delightful Italian ice cream & sorbets Coffee & Petit Fours?A great way to finish was to sample the delights of Italian coffee and fabulous petit fours Summary? This brought an end to a truly amazing Italian feast where I would like to personally thank the chefs & staff as the food and service was excellent so I would definitely recommend a visit whether it's for breakfast , brunch or an Al a Carte evening you will not be disappointed

Great Italian Brunch
Well it was really good to be back at this fantastic Italian restaurant and surprisingly it had been a year since our last visit and it was good to see that the food and service was equally if not better than before. Set in a great location just a 5 minute stroll from Liverpool Street Station and on the edge of the vibrant Spitalfields Market. The Italian food they serve is very different to your normal Italian chain restaurants producing more Italian style that you would recognise in Italy itself very simple but very delicious which seems to be the Italian way. Our visit this time was once again for a Saturday Brunch where they serve a great variety of dishes from Italian breakfasts , pasta dishes and fantastic desserts and cheeses. With a warm and friendly greeting we were sat at a table next to the open kitchen where the aromas were amazing. While we browsed the menu we started with two delightful Cocktails from there 2 for 1 offer the Royal Geisha & Sinner Slush we then decided to choose the Pizzette Piadina a fantastic flatbread with scamorza , eggs , chilli & garlic as well as the most amazing Lamb Ribs with aubergine , rosemary & sesameWe then went for a pasta course each and both dishes were absolutely stunning the first was a Linguine Truffle Carbonara , Guanciale & Pecorino Cheese a dish you'll find hard to beat anywhere the other was also a truly amazing Pheasant Tagliatelle Guanciale & Red Wine definitely two of the best pasta dishes we've eaten which you can pair with one of the great selection of Italian wines to which they offer a large selection by the glassAfter enjoying our pasta courses a little rest before desserts was required to which we decided to go for a very delightful Amalfi Lemon Posset with a White Chocolate Crumble and blueberries a real pleasurable way to finish along with some delightful Petit Fours to go along with our Expresso'sThis ended a really great brunch with the excellent food and very friendly staff made our experience another memorable occasion. My next visit will definitely not be that far away and will probably go in the evening to try the Al a Carte because if the brunch is anything to go by then that should be even more amazing. So yes I would highly recommend this restaurant especially if you like authentic Italian food

A BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN THE CITY
I went to Canto Corvino for brunch with my husband. Just recalling the food we ate makes my mouth water. We had a selection of dishes but started with the lamb ribs, with smoked aubergine, rosemary, sesame and some freshly baked focaccia. I was not sure how this would all come together as I am not a huge fan of aubergine but it was a real show stopper, the lamb was really tender and the powerful and moreish flavours in the sauce almost made me order another straight away. This was followed by an impeccable linguine truffle carbonara with guanciale and pecorino cheese, a comforting dish with delicious and salty squares of guanciale; a more delicate and flavoursome version of pancetta. Then there was the pumpkin and spinach rotolo with hazelnuts and crispy sage, offering an incredible texture and crunch with each mouthful, a charming and very special dish. The dinner menu is tempting too, look away now if you're on a strict budget.... featuring a whole host of tantalizing treats including lobster arancini, seabass cerviche, fassona beef carpaccio and salt cod ravioli. I have already gone ahead and booked this restaurant for colleagues next month and I know exactly what I am ordering, I really cannot wait to go back. There is also an atmospheric candlelit wine cellar which serves as a private dining room seating upto twenty four people if you're planning for a larger dinner. Also excellent was the selection of wine on offer, the Italian prosecco and the very welcoming and friendly staff.

Very good service, with excellent wine choice advice. The food menu is relatively short, but is high quality and authentic, with items not usually seen at the more standard Italian restaurants. Food all well cooked and presented in a pleasant setting.

Stunning Italian Brunch
If good Italian food is your desire then I highly recommend paying a visit to Canto Corvino which is conveniently just a 2 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station on the outskirts of Spitalfields . To say the food was amazing is an understatement and the flavours are very different to many Italian restaurants. We had a nice warm Italian welcome and were seated in front of the open kitchen and started with cocktails which were 2 for 1 while we looked at the menu to which we chose the Beetroot Salad, Burrata & Lobster Arancini staters this was followed by fantastic main courses of Hake & Old Spot Pig both matched by a lovely glass of Red & White wines from Puglia . Then for me my favourite course Dessert and were equally as good as the first two courses a Salted Caramel Bomb , French Toast with Caramalised Banana and some delightful homemade Ice Cream . All this put together with such a friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere which is no more than you expect from an Italian restaurant. I would definitely put this place high on any list of restaurants you have to visit #food #restaurant #italian #hospitality
