Best Bermondsey Street restaurants

Originally a high street that grew up around Bermondsey Abbey in medieval times, before becoming a centre of Victorian industry (and slums), 21st-century Bermondsey Street is as gentrified a stretch of road as you’ll find in London. Estate agents selling million-pound flats in the surrounding warehouse conversions stand next time to contemporary art galleries – and some of the best restaurants in the capital.
