Situated right in the heart of Clerkenwell, just a stone’s throw from foodie-hub Exmouth Market, Firebrand Pizza is a bright and spacious restaurant serving an irresistible menu of Italian classics ranging from pizzas and pasta to big plates of meat and fish. With space for large groups in the main restaurant, as well as separate coffee shop and deli space Diggs, Firebrand is a great spot to host a private dinner whether you’re looking for something relatively small and intimate, or something larger and more formal. Its very reasonably priced menu also means that Firebrand Pizza is a fantastic choice if you haven’t got a huge budget.
Able to sit up to 65 people, the main restaurant, housed in what used to be a Victorian bank, features colourful décor and high, arched windows which provide plenty of light during the day. In one corner of the open kitchen lies the impressive pizza oven and a small number of counter seats overlook the action. The wonderfully relaxed ambience of this space lends itself particularly well to large, informal dinners, and can be semi-privately hired.
Coffee shop-cum-deli Diggs is a much smaller space with room for just 24 people, but can be exclusively hired for private dinners, meaning that you and your group can have the space entirely to yourselves. The counter and bright orange walls give the space a charming but cosy feel.
When it comes to food, what better than a variety of pizzas to be shared between all your guests, with options ranging from goat's cheese, courgette and sweet potatoes all the way through to 12 month cured culatello ham and artichoke. If you want something more reminiscent of a classic three course dinner, there are a number of antipasti to choose from such as burrata and beef carpaccio, and desserts including tiramisu and a salted caramel panna cotta.
