Based right in the beating heart of Mayfair, Babbo is a smart Italian restaurant bursting full of character and serving a menu full of modern takes on classic Italian dishes. The swanky space spreads out over two floors and maintains an air of sophistication throughout, while still having the odd trendy touch that you would expect from a restaurant owned by two football players. With Babbo available for exclusive hire, as well as having an amazing private dining room separate from the main restaurant, it’s an ideal spot for a truly memorable private dining experience.
The private dining room is situated up on the first floor of the restaurant and can seat up to 12 people, making it perfect for small group dinners whether that be to celebrate a birthday or for a meal with work colleagues. With exposed brickwork on one side of the room with a large wine rack hanging from it, and a huge canvas at the other end of a scene from The Godfather, the room manages to blend both traditional and modern aspects. With the space exclusively yours if you decide to book in for a private dinner, you can fully immerse yourself in the intimate space and focus purely on the amazing food and company.
The food offering at Babbo comes in the form of a luxury tasting menu or an a la carte. Dishes on the a la carte menu include starters such as burrata served with heritage tomatoes and a cucumber and basil oil, as well as prawn tartare topped with caviar. Mains range from a classic veal Milanese all the way through to duck breast with carrots and sour cream, with a selection of pasta dishes also available; whilst you can expect puddings such as tiramisu, and pistachio panna cotta.
Regardless of what takes your fancy, when you’re sat in Babbo’s beautiful private dining room with a group of friends and a few bottles of lovely wine, you’re guaranteed to have an unforgettable time.
