Permanently moored at Temple Pier, The Yacht London is a characterful 1927 steam vessel available for hospitality bookings. A 3am licence means parties can last way into the night, while its central location gives views of some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including Big Ben and the London Eye. There are four main areas for hire – the Cocktail Lounge, the Restaurant, the Stateroom and the Top Deck – which can all be rented separately or in conjunction with one another. Exclusive hire is also possible for large bashes.
The Top Deck is the place to book in the summer, although it is available all year round. Its marquee is fully heated during the winter, making it event-ready for Christmas and NYE revelry. We especially love the look of the cocktail bar out on the stern terrace and during the summer months the marquee is open-air for that alfresco feel on the river. The 360 view is hard to beat, too.
The boat’s private dining room, the Cocktail Lounge, can also be used for medium-sized drinks receptions or for seated meals for up to 30 guests. The art deco interiors and the intimate feel make it a rather special space for events, and due to being on the lower deck is particularly good in winter.
The main restaurant is a handsome spot for dining and can be hired out privately for up to 100 people. The food is British with modern European influences, meaning you and your guests can enjoy the likes of partridge with garlic mash and black cherry jus or fillet steak with truffle pomme puree while gazing out of the floor to ceiling windows at the lovely river views.
Finally, the Stateroom is ideal for meetings and seminars, but can also cater from smaller lunches and dinner parties. It retains the original parquet floor from 1927, offering lots of character.
