About The London Library

As one of the oldest lending libraries in the world, this new venue has not only been the sanctuary of some of the most renowned novelists of our time, but also boasts impressive architectural details. Extravagant reds, greens and dark teak wood match original features such as pillars, fireplaces and ironwork balustrades. Modern areas can be found too, although with accents of bronze and glass. The stand-out space is the Reading Room, with its huge capacity and book-lined walls. We also recommend having your guests arrive through The Issue Hall, using the original book-issue counter to place your drinks. Find more details on each of the rooms below.

Testimonials For The London Library

Hugely impressedJANUARY, 2020

We were hugely impressed by the whole team at The London Library, who were impeccably organised, thoughtful and attentive both in the run-up and during the event. The evening was a huge success and a particularly memorable one in the Library's exquisite interior. We could not have asked for a better venue and colleagues.
