Found on bustling Bermondsey Street just a short walk from both London Bridge and Borough tube stations, Tanner Warehouse is a rustic-chic space, which (as its name suggests) was once a tannery.
Full of character and charm, the converted warehouse is an events space that can accommodate for a range of functions, from corporate gigs to private parties. The warehouse can accommodate up to 150 guests for seated events, or 350 for standing receptions. There’s also the option to take over the venue’s neighbouring Tanner & Co restaurant should you need some extra space.
Speaking of restaurants, the food at Tanner Warehouse is one of its strongest draws. Menus here are devised by executive head chef Ronnie Murray, who has previous experience in the kitchens of J Sheekey, Scott’s, The Ivy and other long-standing London haunts. Murray’s menu often champions traditional and contemporary takes on British classics, but is easily adaptable; offering everything from canapés to banquet-style feasting, while also being able to cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests.
As any good event planner knows, it’s just as important to keeping guests watered is just as important as making sure they’re well fed. If you’re hosting a party or evening event, Tanner Warehouse boasts a 50-strong cocktail list for guests to choose from, as well as a range of new and old world wines. Teetotallers haven’t been forgotten about either, with guests able to enjoy barista coffee and house made cordials.
We think that the beauty of Tanner Warehouse is the venue’s versatility. During the summer season, the courtyard at the venue is ideal for an intimate alfresco cocktail party, while the main space is great for event planners looking for a corporate space that doesn’t feel stuffy or too serious, with up-to-date AV equipment coming as standard.
