Finding its home in the surrounds of the city’s Old Fish Market building, Revolution Bristol is a fun and popular restaurant and cocktail bar, which stretches itself across two floors. The venue is split between a main bar and a mezzanine level, with the interiors following a shabby-chic aesthetic.
Revolution Bristol has character in spades thanks to long banquettes with floral designs, a black and white tiled bar, bright red columns and industrial-style light fixtures. The main bar area can host up to 100 guests for seated events, while standing receptions can have a guest list of up to 380 people. If you’re hiring out the main bar for your party or event, you also benefit from direct access to Revolution Bristol’s expansive garden terrace, as well as a dancefloor for evening functions that rumble on late into the night (Revolution stays open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays).
If you’re planning a more intimate occasion, you can instead opt to book out the Mezzanine level. The Mezzanine offers you a space away from the hustle and bustle, but overlooks the main bar area so that you don’t lose any of the venue’s atmosphere. The space can accommodate a maximum of 50 party guests for a seated function and up to 80 for a cocktail and canapés reception. Speaking of canapés, Revolution Bristol’s concise menu of snacks and the like is available for private parties, featuring things such as shredded duck with a sticky Asian-style glaze, and pork chilli meatballs.
If you’re hosting a more formal event, Revolution Bristol offers a number of party menus. Event planners can choose from a lunchtime or evening buffet, an afternoon tea menu featuring scones and cucumber sandwiches, or a fairly-priced two- or three-course set menu. Our personal recommendation would be the Premium Dining menu, which features some of Revolution Bristol’s more accomplished culinary offerings. Starters see a Bloody Mary crab cocktail and a shredded duck salad, while mains range from lobster mezzaluna to a plant-based Mexican-style burger.
If you need more convincing, Revolution Bristol’s dedicated dancefloor and full AV and sound system are sure to really get the party started.
