The venue also houses a destination Michelin-starred restaurant attracting guests from afar to sample chef patron Michael Caines’ globally-acclaimed food. Caines’ services to the hospitality industry over the past 22 years saw him awarded an MBE in 2006 and he makes regular TV appearances on popular cookery and food programmes. His style of cookery is generally modern European, showcasing the finest local and regional produce with a light hand and acute attention to detail.

For truly special occasions the entire venue can be hired, enabling guests to have exclusive use of the three dining rooms, bar and lounge, terrace, gardens and all 21 bedrooms; perfect for large family celebrations or corporate events. The professional team at Lympstone can also be on hand to arrange any activities for guests in the parkland with everything from watersports to clay pigeon shooting and team building activities to wellbeing retreats on offer. For those staying a minimum of three nights a marquee is also available for hire with capacity for 150 people sitting down and 200 standing.

Alternatively for a more intimate affair two of the Manor’s stunning dining rooms are available for private dining occasions. The larger Berry Head Dining Room is an exquisite space, with a marble floor, central counter and luxurious furnishings in calming shades of blue. It has facility for 46 people seated or 70 standing. Next door the Mamhead Dining Room is decorated in soft champagne hues with beautiful landscape paintings adorning the walls and a central candle chandelier.
