Spacious enough to hold up to 160, this cool karaoke chain’s Soho original makes a fun-packed – and super-central – setting for teambuilding days, corporate get-togethers and cocktail receptions. Located in the heart of London’s most happening district, this subterranean karaoke bar boasts nine pods, each of which is kitted out with wireless microphones and extensive touch-screen playlists, as well as our favourite feature, the ‘Thirsty’ button – perfect if you’re in need of a little Dutch courage. The pods hold between four and 15 people, making them ideal for small celebrations whether that’s a leaving do, a birthday party or an office social.
If you’re in need of a little more space though, that can be arranged too. Lucky Voice Soho’s bar (a microphone-free zone) can be hired exclusively for up to 60 guests, with the option of booking out a pod (or pods) for a spot of post-beverage belting. This is something the team here encourages, but is by no means mandatory, so if it’s just a comfortable space and a range of excellent drinks and food you’re after, it’s a great choice.
Fuel comes in the form of a colourful cocktail and mocktail list featuring creations named after famous songs, along with a range of beers, wines, spirits, shooters, sharers and softs; and a small selection of snacks and pizzas. There are also four packages available for groups: Beyonce, Elvis, Gold and Platinum. We’re sure it’s no reflection on Queen Bey that the package named after her is the least expensive of the four – comprising a bottle of prosecco, a pornstar mix and a round of shots – and we can’t dispute the name of the Platinum package, since it includes two bottles of champers in addition to a bottle of vodka and mixers, and a round of shots.
Super-friendly and helpful staff are always on-hand to talk you through Lucky Voice Soho’s venue hire options and packages, and there’s a tonne of info on its website too.
