A stunning multi-functional venue in the heart of Croydon, Fairfield Halls is south London’s largest arts centre and events space. Reopening following a multi-million-pound redevelopment, Fairfield Halls is an excellent choice for your next event. The enormous space houses a concert hall, a playhouse, studio spaces, rehearsal rooms, restaurants, bars and a business lounge, most of which can be hired exclusively for your next conference, product launch, staff party or awards ceremony.
For small to medium-sized functions, the Arthur Davison Suite is ideal. Located on level one of the building, the space can accommodate meetings of up to 24 delegates or seated lunches and dinners of between 40 and 60. If you’re looking for something slightly larger, the Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Suite can hold between 40 and 70 guests.
The two most impressive spaces within the Halls are undoubtedly the Phoenix Concert Hall and Ashcroft Playhouse, which have played host to many famous artists including Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Queen. These immense spaces have been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and can be used for everything from concerts and presentations to lectures, conferences and launches. Tiered seating in the concert hall, which has been designed to resemble a scaled down version of the Royal Festival Hall, means it can hold up to 1,800 people split across boxes, the balcony, the upper stalls, the front stalls and the choir.
The Ashcroft Playhouse’s increased capacity means it now features 800 seats, allowing for all kinds of performances and events. Similarly, the venue’s new gig space, The Recreational, has a standing capacity of 750 and can be hired at different rates depending on whether you’re hosting a ticketed event or a conference. Last, but not least, the John Whitgift Community Cube offers an eclectic space for meetings, private banquets or cocktail receptions.
