The Lighterman is an impressive three-story building found on Granary Square and is owned by uparket pub group Cubitt House. Overlook the bustling Square and Regent’s Canal, it’s a laid back haven amidst the chaos of the festive season. This light and airy setting offers a beautiful setting for your festive gatherings, parties and celebrations.
For Christmas parties of up to 100 guests a three course festive feast or Champagne and canapes would be a welcome treat for your team - all taking place on the first floor of the building with its wraparound terrace and stunning views over Kings Cross. Alternatively the Canalside Bar & Terrace offers a private space for smaller gatherings with beautiful views of the canal.
For smaller dinners and celebrations, choose from flexible spaces that can host between ten and 100 guests, or smaller groups can be seated in the main dining area and enjoy the Christmas set menu.
The Lighterman’s Christmas menu is available for group bookings from Thursday 21st November and is £55pp. Highlights from the menu include - of course - turkey with all the trimmings - or for those looking for some less than traditional fare can start with Cauli ower & Oxford Blue soup served with shaved winter truffle, or Roasted Harrier butternut squash alongside chestnut, crispy kale and winter truffle. For mains, traditionalists can enjoy a roasted free-range Norfolk bronze turkey, alternatively opt for seared black bream with bubble ‘n’ squeak, completed with lemon and dill butter. Save some space for pudding as you will have your choice of a traditional Christmas pudding with brandy custard, clementine and dark chocolate brownie with nutmeg ice cream.
