Having added a festive twist to its traditionally Israeli menu, Bala Baya is the ideal place to hold your next Christmas party if you want to branch out when it comes to cuisines. With a modern and sleek space located beneath the Old Union Yard railway arches guests are sure to be wowed at Bala Baya.
Available for exclusive hire, you can host up to 160 guests across the restaurant. However, if you are looking for something a little more intimate, you can pick between either the first floor mezzanine or the ground floor restaurant which includes access to the bar.
The festive food packages offer two options to pick from, as well as the option of adding a welcome glass of champagne or prosecco. Expect to find dishes like the Kalamata tapenade and yoghurt, confit mackerel with harissa and mustard, spiced lamb parcels and a Middle Eastern take on a classic roast dinner. Go for either a spiced leg of lamb with damask and plum or a sumac glazed turkey for the main part of your meal. This will be accompanied by smashed roasties, a Yorkshire pudding and a selection of greens before finishing off with a dessert of blood orange and vanilla crème patissière.
Since it’s the festive season, the restaurant's already stunning Bauhaus design will be decked out to look suitably Christmassy in the most tasteful of ways. If you hire out the ground floor, access to the bar will also be available so after indulging in a Middle Eastern feast guests can enjoy a glass of wine from the international wine list to get them suitably merry before carrying on your Christmas party into the night elsewhere.
Given that it is so close to the city, going from the city to Bala Baya is an easy and quick journey for your guests to make, meaning the festivities can start as soon as the work day ends.
