Fringes

We say:
When Emma Stone arrived in this head-turner at the 89th Academy Awards, she was saying one thing: ‘I’m winning an Oscar tonight’ (and she did). We love the contrast of the tight corset with the open fringe at the bottom – both ceremony and reception looks
Our brides-to-be say:
‘The fringe look can be particularly striking when it’s done properly – like Emma Stone’s dress. When it comes to bridal gowns, though, I find the line between flirty flapper and embellished curtain just that bit too fine.’ Debs 
‘I really like this look because it can be adapted for a range of styles, from the elegance of a 20s Gatsby dress to a looser, boho festival vibe. I’d leave the accessories plain and simple and let the detail in the dress do all the talking.’ Sarah 
‘We’re in an era of fashion that’s constantly drawing on historical styles for influence. The 20s feel is really romantic – a pop of red on the lips and you’re ready to go. Plus, it’s the type of dress that you could definitely wear again!’ Emily
Trousers

We say:
Bravo, Evan Rachel Wood. This was our favourite look from this year’s Golden Globes. Classy, tailored and with a feminine flare, the Westworld beauty’s tux is a sign of things to come – and bridal designers are taking note. Dare to be different!
Our brides-to-be say:
‘I’m a girly girl at heart, but these alternative bridal trouser suits make me so, so happy. It’s 2017, so it’s about time we brides had a stylish and feminine alternative to “the dress” for those of us who prefer trousers.’ Debs 
‘Gone are the days of suits just being for the office, and this is a really sharp look. I’m not sure I’m ready for the surprised looks on my friends’ faces if I walked down the aisle in a white version of my husband-to-be’s suit, though!’ Sarah
‘This look is smart and sophisticated – perfect for those who prefer clean and elegant lines. The trouser suit adds a modern twist on a traditional occasion, but is too modern for my tastes. Maybe add a veil for a more feminine touch?’ Emily
Overskirts

We say:
There were a lot of these on the red carpet, but Janelle Monáe undoubtedly wore it the biggest. This Elie Saab Couture number might be a bit OTT but a more bride-friendly alternative can bring fairy-tale romance to simple dresses.
Our brides-to-be say:
‘I absolutely love the duality of overskirt gowns, particularly the beautiful Ersa Atelier dress featured here. Being the indecisive bride that I am, the idea of having two dresses in one (without two price tags) definitely appeals!’ Debs
‘Overall, this is my favourite look. If I were changing outfits between day and evening, I would absolutely consider this style of dress for the latter. It’s really flattering and can be totally bespoke to your style – and your figure.’ Sarah
‘The overskirt adds a gorgeous fairy-tale opulence, highlighting curves and would add movement when I walk down the aisle or waltz my way around the dancefloor. It’s elegant and over the top – which makes it perfect for the big day.’ Emily
