Weddings at Brunswick House - venue hire

What was once an architectural salvage yard in a ruined Georgian mansion is now a quirky restaurant and party venue that hosts weddings. Of its many rooms, we love the Study, a lofty 18th-century panelled room adorned with a chandelier and fireplace. The food’s spectacular too.

Capacity 110

Weddings at Hospital Club - venue hire

In an 18th-century former hospital, this members club has a broad spectrum of event spaces, including a bar and lounge, games room and gallery space. The club is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and can cater for every stage of the celebration, from the official vows through to late-night dancing.

30 Pavilion Road - venue hire

A recent refurbishment has taken this Georgian townhouse back to its original best: restored marble fireplaces and oil paintings help make it an attractive exclusive-use wedding venue. We’re fans of the high-ceilinged Ballroom and the nearby grand staircase. There’s a roof terrace, too.

Capacity 120

Weddings at No 11 Cavendish Square - venue hire

This Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse has been carefully restored to introduce contemporary interiors across almost 30 rooms. Highlights include the courtyard garden, complete with a ‘living wall’ and water feature, and a large Orangery, which makes a great space for wedding breakfasts of 120.

Capacity 120

Weddings at Asia House - venue hire

A Grade II-listed townhouse in Marylebone, Asia House offers a thoroughly modern approach to wedding planning in a traditional setting. Its three spaces make features of their moulded ceilings, marble fireplaces and sparkling chandeliers, but are easily dressed with personal themes and colour schemes.

Capacity 120

The Cinnamon Club - dining room with library

Largely known for Vivek Singh’s high-end Indian cuisine, The Cinnamon Club is a Grade II-listed building with a selection of spaces available for weddings. Antique books fill the shelves of the Library Bar, and the Downstairs Bar features leather walls and intimate alcoves for champagne receptions. Couples looking for a personalised wedding menu can call on the restaurant’s chef and sommelier to help.

Capacity 130

Weddings at Smiths of Smithfield - venue hire

Set in a renovated Grade II-listed building next to Smithfield meat market, SOS’s decor channels a New York-loft vibe with blasted brick walls, large windows and post-industrial furnishing. The Top Floor restaurant and terrace has great views, with space for 200 standing.

Capacity 130

Weddings at Cinnamon Kitchen - venue hire

This City restaurant has a trio of event spaces, plus a covered terrace seating 40 for ceremonies. Tandoori wedding breakfasts for up to 130 are held in the dining room, with dancing in Anise, the clubby bar next door. Smaller parties can use the 16-seat private dining room.

Capacity 130

Weddings at Humble Grape Fleet Street - venue hire

Hidden down one of the side streets off Fleet Street, this second Humble Grape wine bar is located under St Bride’s, one of London’s oldest churches. Wedding breakfasts can take place beneath the atmospheric arches of the Sir Christopher Wren-designed building – with a selection of great wine, of course.

Capacity 130

Weddings at St Pancras Champagne Bar and Grand Brasserie - venue hire

On the light-filled Upper Concourse of Grade I-listed St Pancras International, you’ll find Europe’s longest champagne bar. It’s a fine place to launch a reception, while breakfasts can be taken in the art deco-style brasserie close by. Once everyone is done with the dancefloor, the bride and groom can make a memorable goodbye by jumping on a Eurostar to the continent.

Capacity 130

Salters Hall - venue hire

Recently refurbished and extended, this Grade II-listed post-war livery hall is an impressive location for City weddings. Indoors, there are three grand rooms which work well for ceremonies. As of June 2017, receptions can also be held outdoors, where there’s a beautiful secluded garden with water features.

Capacity 130

Trinity House bride sitting at windowseat

This Tower Bridge venue dates back to the 18th century and has five spaces available. The standout is the Court Room, with its intricately painted ceiling and space for 80 seated guests. The view of the Tower of London from the 130-capacity Library is hard to beat.
