If you’re wanting a rustic wedding, which maintains a sense of real charm and intimacy, then The Barn at Bury Court could be a great option for you. Based in the middle of the Hampshire countryside, it provides a real sense of escape whilst still being incredibly accessible. Whether you simply need somewhere for your reception after a nearby church ceremony, or want to spend the whole day at The Barn including the ceremony itself, they have got you covered.
The main venue is of course The Barn itself featuring an amazing main hall covered in wooden beams which can be filled with tables for large sit-down dinners or kept clear if you want to use the space for a standing reception, There is also plenty of space for the purpose-built bar which can be put in various different locations. Below the main hall, a smaller underground room is a great spot to set up a DJ or even a casino depending on what you’re wanting at your wedding. The main hall is also licensed for civil ceremonies and can be split up using curtains.
Outside, the beautiful gardens provide a stunning backdrop to your wedding photographs with many different corners you can escape to with the photographer to find that perfect shot. The gardens can also be used during the summer for drinks or canapes before the main reception, or you can even have an outdoor bar or marquee to fully take advantage of the amazing setting. Also in the gardens is the charming Oast cottage which can be used as a base for the bride to get ready on the big day as well as escape to afterwards.
Catering is provided by Jacaranda Catering who offer a wide range of options depending on your requirements, including a Citroen Coco dining van which can be parked in the gardens.
