The only way into Eight Club Moorgate’s digs is via a speedy penthouse lift, whisking guests above the City bustle. At the top, you’ll find a roomy two-floor club that fuses fine views with an interior evocative of a scene in Mad Men. The venue comprises a series of light, bright spaces (including two terraces) suited to meetings, private dinners or cocktail parties. For meetings, we like the Library Room, with its big windows, book-lined walls and chesterfield sofas.
