Specialising in smaller wedding parties for up to 50 people, it’s the perfect spot for an intimate civil wedding ceremony held in one of the stunning rooms of the Hall. Alternatively, you could hold your ceremony in the folly within the estate grounds or the beautiful St Mary’s church is situated right opposite the main entrance to Belchamp Hall, for those who would prefer a traditional church service.
For civil ceremonies, choose between the al fresco Victorian summer house with its marble floor and stained glass windows; the Drawing Room with its stunning portraits and plush furnishings; or the Panelled Room with its gorgeous oak walls that date back to the Elizabethan era.
Ceremonies can be held either mid-week or weekend and the Hall provides a stunning reception venue for drinks as well as a beautiful backdrop for photographs with your nearest and dearest. The venue can provide Champagne and canapés or a full afternoon tea service, however there is also flexibility to supply your own alcohol should you prefer. For a full wedding breakfast, the venue has an exclusive relationship with Scutchers restaurant in Long Melford, just a ten minute drive away and the events team can help arrange a seamless transition between the two venues. Afterwards couples are encouraged to return to the hall to make the most of the luxury accommodation which is also available for bridal changing beforehand.
