Ascot Racecourse is home to one of the world’s most glamorous events – Royal Ascot – so where better to host an extravagant wedding? But Ascot is more than just a spot for racing, the venue has a 1,000 capacity for weddings across its spaces. The various wedding suites can be easily transformed to provide classic layouts (dinner, dinner dance and cabaret) as well as more informal solutions (buffet, lounge, sofa-style and reception).
Don’t be fazed by the big capacity number, though – smaller and more intimate receptions are also possible. Besides, it’s worth noting that there are several outdoor areas that can be used for games, activities and photography. What’s really great with Ascot is the flexible approach the events team has, which enables you to make your celebration entirely bespoke. The space is also a blank canvas, so you’re free to add your personal touches and decorations to it.
With that being said if you would rather have a starting point to work from Ascot works very closely with a list of nominated caterers who can provide varying dining packages and prices as well as run the whole event for you. But you are free to bring your own suppliers and entertainment in if you prefer.
There is also a distinct countryside feel to an Ascot wedding with it being set in 179 acres of beautiful parkland that adjoins Windsor Great Park. Plus, it’s only a 50-minute drive or train journey from central London and located close to the M3, M4, M40 and M25 motorways, and to London Heathrow for international visitors. Complimentary parking is included in the hire fee.
