Enjoyable
Sat at the bar with the good lady wife, was a bit squashed and wanted the initial service to be a bit snappier but soon sunk into the flow. The food was terrific as was the wine ( although priced to match) – actually enjoyed this more than i recall all others of this type. Compelled to write my first review. They raced through pouring the wine a bit and obviously we kept pace! but meant that we finished the bottle too soon and didn't want another so we a bit out of sync. But i'm splitting hairs this was a great meal.

Very good food at this japanese restaurant with a slight twist (no soya souce). Get a seat at the bar and watch while very creative dishes are created in front of your eyes

The prices are high but the food is a new experience and worth it. The neon sign above the sushi bar says “No Soy Sauce” and it is amazing what a difference this makes. Truffle in sushi? Delicious and simply one example of the difference between this place and the hundreds of Japanese restaurants around London serving highly predictable food on a conveyor belt. The staff are young, energetic and have that healthy idealism about what they serve that makes for great food and a fun atmosphere.

This restaurant is totally overrated. Far too expensive. Good location but the restaurant is tiny, customers crammed into a very small space. The sushi is quite good, but SO expensive, we left poor and hungry. Service is good, but they push you to order more, when frankly we had spent a lot. Our bill came to £99 for a bottle of their cheapest wine, 1 of sparkling water (which they poured in to glasses&didn't leave on table, just too full glasses to go flat), 1 serving of edemame beans& 1 platter of 11 sushi pieces. I am starving. Yashin is not high-end or exclusive and my overall experience was not one i'll particularly remember as I didn't leave thinking wow! The evening's food& dining experience was mediocre and not somewhere id go again, mainly because for the money spent, it wasn't worth it. Unless Yashin lower their prices, I can't see them surviving.

We had the best surprise to find a seriously amazingly delicious sushi restaurant off Kensington High Street. It's a wonderful addition to the area.
The service was spot on. The food is fresh, delicate, innovative and very good value for money,(at lunch at least, its great value, I hope it stays that way) Thank you for choosing Kensington for your opening debut.
