Careful sourcing makes for authentic flavours, and the results are reckoned to be “superb”: try crispy smoked chicken or crunchy shichimi-peppered squid washed down with a cold Asahi beer, or go for tiger prawn tempura followed by a deftly spiced Thai green curry or a bowl of Singapore noodles, with refreshing yuzu jelly, mango and mint to finish. Smiling servers and bright graffiti set the mood in the buzzy dining room, while the odd name comes from Asian folklore: Tootoomoo was a little girl who cooked wonderful food for hungry giants.
