The Cart Shed has been many things in the past. In the 1600s it was actually a cart shed & in more recent times it was used to keep cows & pigs. Its last farm use was for chickens around 36 years ago. Since then it has had many domestic uses mostly based around entertaining & food.
The Cart Shed restaurant opened in 2016 and has been a great success so far. Our menu is mostly game, as well as having possibly some of the best steaks you will find on a menu anywhere. The menu changes often but will always have a few familiar favourites. Meat is usually cooked over a wood fire giving
distinctive smokey flavours and also a focal point.
