Randy’s Wing Bar in Hackney Wick has flown over from its original base to open a second site in the City. Co-founders Richard Thacker and Andy Watts (aka Randy) sealed their wings know-how by becoming the first-ever international competitor at America’s Buffalo Wing Festival. The proof is in the poultry at this new site, which features an extended menu of boneless wings, baked oysters and sliders, as well as chicken burgers, loaded fries and desserts. There’s even something for the lunch crowd, with salad boxes, wraps and boneless wings available to takeaway. Sauces for the signature wings will mostly be as before, featuring the sticky likes of buffalo with truffle blue cheese, and gong bao with pickled pineapple and Sichuan pepper. To drink, guests can enjoy cocktails alongside a line-up of beers from around the UK.
