Welcome to Purple Thai, South Woodford's newest addition. Their goal: To provide traditional, beautiful Thai cuisine fused with a modern, sophisticated setting. Restaurant owners Lee, Tony, Joanne
and Mel, aka ‘The Hall’s’, (although unrelated they share the same surname) sourced Thai national chefs. They cook up a storm each night, offering guests an unfussy yet contemporary menu including
favourites like Gang Kiew-wan (Green Thai Curry), Gai Pad Khing (Chicken and Ginger) and Pad Thai Gung (Fried Noodles with Prawn). Even yummy, melt-in-your mouth fried Banana's with Coconut Ice
Cream, a signature dish!
Both Lee and Joanne Hall gather their varied experience from a previous Thai venture base in mainland Spain. The owners expanded their vision to deliver a venue transformed into a trendy ‘new
world’ Thai space. Enriched by it’s newly designed interior with cracked glass bar, textured walls and authentic Thai Buddha’s, the ambiance is inviting and the food top notch.
