With a distinct Turkish influence to the cooking, there’s plenty on the pleasingly rustic menu from this elegant group of restaurants to transport you to the Mediterranean. Drop in for hot and cold mezze at lunchtime, when stuffed vine leaves and beetroot tarator (an Eastern European soup incorporating garlic, tahini and herbs) abound. Alternatively, dine on something larger such as a fragrant chicken beyti kebab (wrapped in yeast-free lavash bread) with parsley and pistachio, or a classic roast rack of lamb. A well-annotated wine list concentrates on the Old World, meandering through Lebanon, Portugal, France and Italy, though there is the odd offering from Argentina and New Zealand too.
