The kitchen sources meticulously, procuring organic & free-range meats, locally grown vegetables & some top ingredients from abroad (try the Almafi lemon tart) for a range of well-executed dishes. Kids have their own ‘healthy menu’ & beer drinkers are well served by a line-up of hand-pulled ales in the bar. You can even work up an appetite by visiting Lacock Abbey (just up the road) or Avebury & Silbury Hill close by, while Stonehenge is an impressive drive across Salisbury Plain.
