Spanish chef and restaurateur José Pizarro has announced the opening of a new restaurant, the aptly named José Pizarro, in Broadgate Circle near Liverpool Street.
The 65-cover dining room complete with outside terrace will differ from his other restaurants (
José and
Pizarro, both on Bermondsey Street), in that it's open for breakfast. From 7-11am dishes like jamón Ibérico with fried egg and patatas fritas, and sobrasada on toast with honey and mahón cheese are sure to keep the local office workers fuelled for the day.
Talking of some of the other dishes on offer, Pizarro told Square Meal, 'I can’t wait to show off my style of food to City diners. We’re going to create Spanish dishes that have never been seen before in this country. I want my food to bring people together and excite them.'
Broadgate Circle is set to become quite a foodie hotspot with the likes of Crab Tavern, Franco Manca and
Yauatcha already announced to set up camp in this £20 million redevelopment, just a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station.
José Pizarro is due to open in April 2015.
