House of Holi returns to Cinnamon Kitchen for 2019

From 6-21 March, House of Holi will make its return to Cinnamon Kitchen City, for the fifth year in a row.

The restaurant, which is part of chef Vivek Singh’s Cinnamon Collection, will host the experience in honour of India’s renowned festival of colour, which marks the arrival of spring and the passing of winter, and is most famous for the colourful paint fights between festival goers.

The crowds get stuck in at House of Holi

Cinnamon Kitchen City will be celebrating the festival in various ways, chief among them a Holi ‘play pen’, where guests can don protective white suits and enjoy 30 minutes of pelting their friends, family and colleagues with vibrantly coloured paint…in a loving way, of course. For £22 per person, you will enjoy a paint-pelting session, along with a Holi cocktail (or mocktail) and three delicious snacks, because no Indian celebration is complete without some fantastic food.

Guests can enjoy an assortment of Indian snacks

If you’re looking to make an evening of it, you can instead enjoy a special five-course House of Holi menu, which is available for £35 per person and includes a session in the paint play pen. You meal will begin with starting dishes such as tandoori king prawns with fennel and coriander, before moving on to the likes of a fiery Rajasthani lamb curry with pilau rice, while black lentins and garlic naan will be placed on the table to share.

You will round off your lunch or dinner with an assortment of traditional Holi sweets, as well as coffee and petits fours. Don’t forget to head out to the pop-up cocktail bar on the terrace either for some post-prandial sipping, where Cinnamon Kitchen’s staff will be serving up a limited-edition selection of Holi-themed cocktails.
