VQ is serving up cereal-based cocktails for breakfast

To celebrate National Cereal Day, which takes place in the UK on 7 March, restaurant group VQ is launching a collection of breakfast cocktails.

VQ, which is known for its 24/7 opening hours and all-day breakfast menu, will launch the collection in collaboration with American Cereal Club, resulting in a range of US-style cereal cocktails.

Who wants cereal in their cocktails we hear you ask? Well, a whopping 2.7 billion boxes of the stuff are sold each year, which is enough to wrap around the earth 13 times – this proves that the breakfast food is cereal-ously popular, and we’re also on board with anything that can spice up our morning routine.

The breakfast cocktails will be available from 7-22 March at all five VQ sites, and the collection features four quirky sips, including one non-alcoholic option for sensible diners. You can check out details on each cocktail below:

Cereal Milk White Russian

A twist on a classic cocktail, this lip-smacking concoction consists of Marshmallow Mateys-infused vodka, paired with cranberry juice and lemon juice. For those who haven’t brushed up on their knowledge of popular American cereals, Marshmallow Mateys are a brand of pirate-themed cereal which is dotted with marshmallows in the shape of dolphins, gems and parrots (£9.95)

Floss Martini with Marshmallow Vodka

This baby pink cocktail is made up of a blend of Kahlua coffee liqueur and vodka. The Instagram-friendly sip is then topped with a dollop of cloudy pink candyfloss and a colourful rim of Marshmallow Mateys cereal (£9.95)
