Central Italian in Warwick
A day out with family, and need for lunch before sight seeing. Went to this place on impulse as walking by in the centre of town. Inside it's quite dark with lots of brown furnishings and ceilings but we sat by the window so we had daylight. A good value set lunch, with staples such as chicken liver pate and grilled goats cheese to start, followed by pasta, and pork chop with sweet potato. Old school style with enormous pepper grinder and fresh Parmesan grated on the dish a the table. Very nice food which we enjoyed and a snip at £12.95 for two courses. Slightly spoiled by a member of staff sighing heavily and getting a bit huffy with mention of an allergy (which was sorted out very easily from the set menu) and then trying to pressure us to have more than we wanted. Perhaps they were having a bad day but we got the impression they didn't really want to be there. Other staff members were very pleasant.
