“Mamma Mia! Here we go again” is what we imagine ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus said to himself when deciding to open a second location of his Mamma Mia! The Party, which is billed as an immersive dining experience centred round the songs of the iconic Swedish band and the two Mamma Mia! movies.
Diners sit in a recreation of a Greek taverna, albeit one in the 02 Arena that seats 500 guests, tricked out to look like somewhere you might find on the film’s fictional island of Skopelos, while tucking into Greek cuisine and watching a live show jam-packed with ABBA songs. The Stockholm original has enjoyed years of sold-out shows, so we’re certain this venture will make plenty of Money, Money, Money.
