We visit the JS today for dinner. Steak was blue when a medium-welldone was asked for. On referring this to staff, there was no concern, On receipt of bill I asked for the steak be be deducted. The manager then came to see us and refused. I offered to pay the bill of £130 (dinner for 2) but declined to pay for the steak. The 'manager' a man in his mid 30s, balding and slim with blue denim shirt then called the police. I accepted this. The police were not that interested, so he then said he would 'kick my head in and destroy my car'. This has been reported to the police as a threat of violence and they will be investigating. What a shame that such a lovely setting is destroyed by threats of violence
