SquareMeal Review of Fazenda Rodizio Bar & Grill
Bronze Award
Forget party restaurants and Brazilian flags: Fazenda offers rodizio grills by way of charm school in an interior that’s just as grown-up as its businessy Spinningfields location. That’s not to say the place isn’t fun – the salad bar resembles a high-class fantasy appetiser station, providing everything from elegant canapés and a mighty wheel of Grana Padano cheese to wholesome salads, feijoada and traditional spicy pork crackling. Turn the little card at your elbow from red to green and the expertly grilled meat will arrive. The house picanha (the South American beef cut that deliberately retains the flavoursome fat of the rump) is the star, though robust linguiça beef and pork sausages, pork ribs and chicken hearts all have their fans. For vegetarians there’s a separate menu, but this isn’t the most obvious setting for a meat-free meal. The wine list offers adventures in South America as well as Europe.
