About
With various London Cocktail Clubs in the West End under his belt, the ubiquitous JJ Goodman – the bar scene’s answer to Gordon Ramsay, only cuddlier – heads east. His new venture has started trading in the arch adjacent to craft beer emporium, Mother Kelly’s. Goodman’s complimentary offer is craft cocktails: free of artificial additives, chemicals or preservatives, made in-house and pre-batched. The entire process is open to customers’ inspection. Lock on to Lavender Paloma (Tequila, pink grapefruit juice, English lavender and a touch of juniper and fennel), The Southern Fairy (pea-infused gin, elderflower, hand-pressed lemons and russet apple juice) and hoochy ginger beer. Recycled decor, slouch couches and a rough-hewn post-industrial bar (with seating up top) produce a regulation Bethnal boho look.
