About

Opened in 1998 and is Scotland’s first and only authentic Russian Restaurant. This venue aims to keep its Russian roots intact, bringing cuisine, hospitality and culture to the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. The kitchen’s allegiance to former Soviet territories - from Russia and Moldavia to Armenia and Georgia - is evident on the menu featuring borscht, country soup made with cabbage, tomato, beetroot, garlic and coriander; Rostovsky platter, a duet of beetroot-raisin and carrot-garlic salads; aubergine ratatouille accompanied by just-baked pancakes. Beef stroganoff may strike a familiar chord but the Siberian pelmeni, ravioli stuffed with a spicy beef and pork mince, or St. Petersburg pancakes with mashed potatoes, topped with creamy mushroom and cheese sauce, may turn out to be favourites. Tzimes - a duck to die for! Even the Russian incumbent will approve!
