A spin-off from 10 Cases wine bar/bistro next door, Cave à Vin is a brick-walled showcase for wines that have proved popular with punters – plus a bigger selection of highly sought-after bottles and assorted sub-£10 deals. In addition, it follows the 10 Cases formula by selling an assortment of great-value wines by the carafe and tasting glass – courtesy of an Enomatic dispenser. Once you’ve made your choice, you can buy to take out or drink in the shop for a £12 corkage fee. A modest menu of charcuterie, cheese, salads and breads is also on offer for those who feel peckish, along with a couple of specials – perhaps steak tartare or baked mackerel with tomato salad. Still and sparkling water are on the house. Note: no bookings.
