“Fantastic, tiny little pizza place run by a group of ‘tatted’ Italian hipsters”, notes a fan of Bravi Ragazzi – a Neapolitan joint that is making quite an impact in Streatham and beyond. The tablecloths are a patchwork of pics depicting the likes of rapper Biggie Smalls and Diego Maradona, while the kitchen stays true to the old traditions. Expect wood-fired sourdough pizzas with around 20-different toppings ranging from ‘red’ (tomato-based) crudo e rucola (Mozzarella, rocket, Parma ham and Parmesan shavings) to ‘white’ (tomato-free) salsiccia e friarielli (smoked cheese, Neapolitan wild broccoli, Italian sausage and extra-virgin olive oil). The menu also runs to bruschetti, antipasti platters, salads and saltimbocca (Italian flatbread sandwiches), backed by a few desserts such as pastiera (traditional Ricotta and wheat cheesecake). Coffee, Peroni beer and Pinot Grigio are the drinks of choice. Free deliveries from 7-10.30pm too.
